Annabelle M. Allison , Associate Director for Tribal Affairs, CDC/ATSDR
Annabelle M. Allison, a member of the Navajo tribe, currently serves as the Associate Director for the Office of Tribal Affairs (OTA) at CDC’s National Center for Environmental Health and Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry (NCEH/ATSDR). Annabelle has been with the OTA since April 2008. Her responsibilities include serving as a liaison between the NCEH/ATSDR divisions and American Indian/Alaska Native (AI/AN) tribes across the country. This includes expanding the visibility of the OTA internally and externally, conducting outreach at numerous venues throughout Indian country, fostering relationships between NCEH/ATSDR and tribal communities related to environmental public health topics, and implementing policies within NCEH/ATSDR that highlight and support the sovereign status of AI/AN tribes.
